At Lenses & Brushes, every roll and sheet of film is developed by hand in our community darkroom. From the rich tones of black & white to the vibrant colors of C-41, your film is handled with care from start to finish—right here in Boise, never shipped out.

We also scan your negatives in-house, giving you high-quality digital files ready to share, print, archive, or simply enjoy. From development through scanning, your film stays in the hands of people who understand and love the process.

Black & White Film
Development

Experience the magic of classic darkroom processing. Your black and white film is carefully hand-developed in our community darkroom, ensuring rich tones, fine detail, and the timeless look that only analog can deliver.

Color Negative
Development

Bring your color film to life with professional C-41 processing. We maintain precise chemistry and temperature control to deliver vibrant, true-to-life negatives you’ll love — whether you’re shooting 35mm, 120, or large format.

Vintage Film

Slide Film
Development

For color slide shooters, we’re excited to offer E-6 (slide film) development as a specialty service. This process is more chemistry-intensive and time-sensitive, but it delivers stunningly vivid, positive images on film.

  • 35mm & 120 Rolls — $18

  • 4×5 Sheets — $8 each (minimum 4)

Scanning Services

We carefully scan your film in-house so your images are preserved in both analog and digital form. High-resolution scans ready for editing and printing, each roll and sheet is handled with the same care as our hand-developed film. Our scanning services are available for 35mm, 120, and 4×5 formats.

  • All film sales are final.

  • Due to the sensitive and perishable nature of photographic film, we cannot accept returns or exchanges once purchased.

Cameras

  • All cameras are sold as is.

  • Each film camera has been tested by running film through it to confirm basic function.

  • Because these are vintage and pre-owned items, no additional warranty is provided and returns are not accepted.

Accessories & Other Items

  • Non-film items such as straps, cases, or accessories may be eligible for return or exchange within 7 days of purchase, provided they are unused, in original condition, and accompanied by a receipt.
