Portrait Experiences

Every portrait session is a little different. We’ll start with what you want the photographs to feel like, then choose the setting, approach, and pace that make sense for you.

Creative & Environmental Portraits

For artists, makers, musicians, business owners, couples, or anyone who wants portraits that feel more personal than traditional posed photographs.

We can work in the studio or choose a location that tells part of your story. Bring an instrument, your work, something you love, or simply yourself. We’ll create portraits that reflect your personality rather than trying to fit you into a formula.

Seniors & Couples

Relaxed sessions built around connection and personality.

Senior portraits can incorporate favorite places, interests, activities, clothing changes, or simply a setting where you feel comfortable. Couple sessions are less about holding a pose and more about giving you something to do together so genuine expressions and interactions can happen naturally.

You don’t need to arrive knowing what to do. I’ll guide you along the way.

Professional Portraits & Headshots

Professional doesn’t have to mean stiff.

These sessions are designed for business owners, artists, creatives, professionals, and anyone who needs an updated portrait for a website, social media, publication, or professional profile.

We can keep things clean and simple in the studio or create an environmental portrait that gives people a little more insight into who you are and what you do.

You Don’t Have to
Know How to Pose

I never expected portrait photography to become such an important part of my work. What I discovered is how much I enjoy helping people feel comfortable in front of the camera.

A portrait session with me is relaxed and collaborative. We’ll talk, move around, experiment, and give you time to settle in. You don’t need to know what to do with your hands or how to find your “good side”—that’s my job.

I’m less interested in creating the perfect pose and more interested in making photographs that say something about who you are. The goal is to create portraits that feel natural, thoughtful, and genuinely like you.

The Experience

01

We’ll start with a conversation about what you’re looking for and how you want your portraits to feel. Together, we’ll choose a location, talk through clothing and ideas, and decide whether there are places, objects, interests, or details you’d like to incorporate.

You don’t need to arrive with a fully formed vision. That’s something we can figure out together.

02

This is the part where you can stop worrying about what to do in front of the camera.

I’ll guide you when you need direction, but we’ll also leave room for conversation, movement, experimentation, and the moments that happen naturally. My goal is to give you enough time to relax so the photographs begin to feel like you—not like someone trying to hold a pose.

03

After your session, I’ll carefully select and edit the strongest photographs from our time together. Your finished images will be delivered in a private online gallery where you can view, download, share, and choose favorites for printing.

Print options and handmade photographic prints may also be available depending on your session.
