Our afternoon art sessions, offered Wednesday through Friday from 4 PM to 5:30 PM, are perfect for ages 8 to 17. Students can personalize their studio time to fit their needs as artists. Plus, all supplies are included—just bring your creativity!

October 7-9: Watercolor Flow​

Focus: Watercolor techniques & creative exploration

Wednesday: Watercolor Resist & Texture

  • Explore masking and texture techniques

  • Experiment with salt, wax, and layered washes

  • Thursday: Loose Landscapes

  • Paint simple watercolor landscapes

  • Focus on shape, color, and atmosphere

Friday: Watercolor + Ink Illustration

  • Combine watercolor with line work

  • Create a finished illustrated

October 14-16: Autumn Art Lab​

Focus: Fall-inspired mixed media

Wednesday: Autumn Collage

  • Use paper, paint, and drawing together

  • Create a layered seasonal composition

Thursday: Watercolor Leaves & Negative Space

  • Study leaf shapes and simple watercolor techniques

  • Explore negative space

Friday: Abstract Autumn Landscapes

  • Use warm colors and texture

  • Create a finished landscape or abstract scene

October 21-23: Light, Shadow & Photography

Focus: Photography-inspired art & observation

Wednesday: Light & Shadow Photo Hunt

  •  Explore contrast, shape, and storytelling 

  • Capture images or sketch from observation

Thursday: Darkroom Photograms

  •  Make camera-less images using light and objects

  •  Experiment with composition and silhouette

Friday: Photo to Mixed Media Turn photographs into creative artwork Add collage, drawing, or paint

October 28–30: Strange & Spooky Studio

Focus: Imaginative fall art

  • Wednesday: Surreal Creature Design Invent unique creatures or characters Use drawing and mixed media

  • Thursday: Haunted Scenes Create a mysterious house or landscape Explore mood and atmosphere

  • Friday: Spooky Open Studio Choose your favorite materials Make a finished seasonal artwork

November 4-6: Drawing Lab

Focus: Line, value & black-and-white art

  • Wednesday: Contour Drawing • Practice expressive line work Draw from observation

  • Thursday: Shading & Value Explore charcoal or graphite techniques • Build depth with light and shadow

  • Friday: Finished Illustration Create a complete black-and-white drawing Emphasize detail and contrast

November 11-13: Color + Pattern

Focus: Pattern, design & playful color

  • Wednesday: Geometric Watercolor Patterns • Build pattern through repeated shapes • Explore color combinations

  • Thursday: Painted Paper Collage Create hand-painted papers Cut and arrange them into a composition

  • Friday: Pattern Project Make a finished patterned artwork Optional cards, bookmarks, or mini prints

November 18-20: Books, Journals & Storytelling

Focus: Handmade books & personal expression

  • Wednesday: Accordion Bookmaking

  • Thursday: Illustration & Storytelling

  • Friday: Artist Journal Pages Plan pageš with images or words Create artwork that tells a story Combine drawing and color Decorate and personalize pages Complete a keepsake journal project
