Leaping into a New Chapter – and a Colorful Summer Ahead

If you’ve been part of the Lenses & Brushes community for a while, you know how much this little art studio means to me. For years, I’ve balanced my love for teaching in the classroom with the joy of leading workshops, preserving film photography and darkroom processing, and creative events through Lenses & Brushes. But today, I’m sharing something deeply personal—and wildly exciting.
I’ve made the decision to step away from my teaching career to fully commit myself to Lenses & Brushes.
This wasn’t a decision I made lightly. Teaching has been a big part of my life, but my heart kept tugging me toward something more expansive, more creative, and more rooted in community. I realized it was time to say yes to the dream I’ve been building: a space where people of all ages can come together to explore, create, and connect through art.
And now—it’s happening.
So what does this new chapter mean?
With more availability in my schedule, I’m opening up daytime art workshops for kids, adults, and multi-age groups. Whether you’re a homeschool family, a retiree, or someone looking for a midday creativity break—there’s something here for you.
Our summer art camps are officially in session! Kids are diving into color, technique, and imagination in the most joyful way. If you haven’t signed up yet, there’s still time to join us for a session or two.
