Summer Art & Photography Camps​
This summer, Lenses & Brushes invites young artists and photographers to explore, experiment, and create in a hands-on, welcoming studio environment. From digital and film photography to painting and mixed media, each camp is designed to build confidence, spark creativity, and help students discover new ways of seeing the world.

MINIATURE ART CAMP
Best for ages 8–14
Big creativity, tiny scale. In this playful camp, students will create miniature works of art using acrylic, watercolor, and collage.
From tiny landscapes to detailed little worlds, this camp is all about experimenting, layering, and having fun with small-scale creations.
Students will explore color, texture, and composition while building a collection of mini masterpieces to take home.

June 1 - 5 | 10 AM to 12 PM

ALTERNATIVE PHOTOGRAPHY CAMP
Best for ages 10–17
Explore photography without a traditional camera. In this hands-on camp, students will experiment with alternative processes including cyanotype sun prints, photograms, and pinhole cameras.
Blending science and creativity, students will use light, objects, and natural elements to create one-of-a-kind images. This camp is perfect for curious minds who love experimenting and discovering new ways to make art.

June 1 - 5 | 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM

Film Photography & Darkroom Magic
Best for ages 12–17
Step into the magic of analog photography. In this immersive camp, students will learn how to shoot on 35mm film, develop their own negatives, and create prints in the darkroom.
From loading film to watching images appear in the developer tray, this experience blends art, science, and storytelling in a way digital simply can’t replicate.
Students will explore light, composition, and the full photographic process while creating hand-developed prints to take home.

June 8 - 12 | 9:30 AM to 12 PM

PHOTOGRAPHY AS STORYTELLING: SUMMER INTENSIVE
Best for ages 12–17
This two-week immersive experience is designed for students who want to go beyond taking photos and start telling stories. Through guided lessons, creative prompts, and hands-on shooting, students will explore composition, light, and narrative while developing their own photographic voice.
Over the course of the program, each student will create a cohesive photo series and gain confidence in both shooting and editing their work.
The experience concludes with a small showcase of their final images.
👉 Students should bring a digital camera. Best paired with a morning camp for a full-day experience.
June 15 - 26 | 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM

CREATIVE DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY
Best for ages 10–17
Explore the creative possibilities of photography. In this hands-on camp, students will learn how to use their camera with confidence while experimenting with composition, lighting, and perspective.
Through guided prompts and creative challenges, students will capture images that reflect their unique point of view while building a strong foundation in digital photography.
This camp is perfect for beginners or anyone looking to feel more comfortable and creative with their camera.
👉 Students should bring a digital camera (DSLR or mirrorless preferred). Limited cameras available.
June 15 - 26 | 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Mixed Media Lab
Best for ages 10–17
