In this two-hour Gather & Paint workshop, you’ll explore the classic ink-and-wash technique by creating a simple city or street scene using expressive line work and loose watercolor washes. Guests can choose between working from a provided template or drawing their own scene freehand, making this class welcoming for all comfort levels.

We’ll begin with ink lines to suggest buildings, windows, and streets—embracing imperfect, sketchy marks—then layer in watercolor to add mood, depth, and atmosphere. The focus is on suggestion over detail, allowing the paint and line to do the work together.

This workshop is beginner-friendly and relaxed, with no drawing or watercolor experience required. All materials are provided, and you’ll leave with a finished city-inspired piece that feels spontaneous, creative, and uniquely yours.
